Naturopathic Medicine:  The Art and Science of Natural Healing

Does OHIP Or Medical Plans Cover Naturopathic Care?

Many private health plans do cover all or a portion of naturopathic treatments. In the Muskokas, all teachers, OPP, many government employees and some companies provide around 500 dollars a year per family member. Patients are encouraged to request that their policy include coverage for all naturopathic treatments.

At this time, OHIP’s reimbursement policy does not have a model to cover the length of time needed for our visits. An initial visit with an ND is typically 1.5 hours in length, to best understand the whole patient and all of the factors that impact one’s health. Subsequent visits vary from 20 minutes to 1 hour.

Clinic Billing Policy

Payment and Billing
We are pleased to accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, personal cheque or cash.  All accounts are due at time of treatment.

Fees for services
Our fees are very moderate and affordable.  Fees vary by length of visit, i.e. an initial screening or follow-up.  Series treatments e.g. acupuncture etc. are subject to special rates that take into account the number of treatments.

We are only too pleased to provide a full rate schedule upon request.
